                                                                     The Cross

      The Cross I wear around my neck is a well-known symbol. The cross is respected by many people, particularly those of Christian faith. They regard the cross as a sacred object.   Most people believe it represents salvation, hope, love, and freedom, among other things. Others attack Christians for worshiping the cross, which they see as a symbol of brutality, terror, and humiliation. The Cross, is one of the most well-known symbols that continues to stir debate.

     The Cross necklace I wear around my neck is a symbol of strength for me. I wear it around my neck to remind myself that God is always watching over and protecting me. Physically, it is light, but symbolically, it is heavy enough to keep me centered, grounded and strong. I'm reminded that God has a purpose for me every time I look at my necklace. My Cross reminds me of all the challenges I've faced and the strength I've gained as a result. When I wear my cross, I feel assurance that I'll be ready for whatever life throws at me.
