Growing up I always used to hunt and fish with my dad and grandad learning new things along the way. The older I got the more independent I became, going to high school and excelling in all sports was big for me and made me who I am today. Being dependent, in the story "A good man" the grandmother chose to travel to Florida with her family even after her cautious awareness of the misft killer escaped from prison. Following through with these actions lead to her and her family's death. Going with a gut feeling is always the best way and speaking out for what you think is right.

     I n the fictional story  ‘The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas’, t he residents of the imaginary city of Omela.   The people in Omela appear to have happy and full lives.  According to the narrator, they are not simple folk, but they are happy.  Although the narrator admits to not knowing everything there is to know about Omelas' laws and rules, they believe there are only a few. Nora is described at the opening of the play as a normal 19th century woman who is obedient to her husband, as seen by the terminology used by her husband, Torvald, to characterize her. Nora has been dubbed "squander bird," "skylark," and "squirrel" by Torvald (Ibsen 26). He appears to dehumanize Nora by continuously referring to her as a pet. Nora is viewed by Torvald as a worthless person who is utterly reliant on him. Nora's function as a wife, he argues, is to amuse and serve as a trophy, which mirrors the majority of nineteenth-century marriages. A typical wife in the nineteenth century functioned like an Angel in the House. Women were viewed as assets or objects by males at the period, and they were heavily ruled by men. People who worked, mainly men, earned money, therefore having power over others.        When I was six years old, I played on my first baseball team. That’s when I fell in love with the sport. Until I was eighteen my life revolved around sports. While in Middle school I started playing football and basketball. From the time I was ten I played sports year-round. When one sport season ended another started for me.  I played not only for the love of the games but for the competitiveness and the happiness that winning brought me. Most athletes probably will not admit that, but I will, winning was and is important. Loosing wasn’t an option for me and because of that I never walked off a field or court without knowing I gave everything I had and did my absolute best.  That was very important to me.
